1. Auspicious beginning

Vastu believes in starting every good thing with pooja or prayers. This is what we all believe in too. It is recommended to start the ground breaking ceremony for constructing the home with Bhoomi pooja. It is for the auspicious beginning. Also if you are moving in pre-constructed house, bungalow or apartment organize a griha pravesh pooja before you move in there. It’s for the good start and seeking for the blessings of God in your home.

2. The entrance

The most preferred direction for the main entrance of the home is through East facing door. It is because the Sun, the abundant source of energy rises in the East. With the first ray of sun, loads of positive vibes and fresh energy will enter your home through the Eastern entrance. The other preferred entrance is North-East.

3. Locating kitchen

Kitchen is the food factory of the home. It is also the place where two opposite forces of nature, fire and water, lives together. So it is important that you create a right atmosphere here. The South-east corner of the home is ideal location for kitchen. It is so placed that the person cooking should be facing towards east. Also make sure that the kitchen is not placed right opposite the main door.

4. Master the bedroom

The master bedroomis where the owner of the house sleeps and for a sound sleep it should be placed according to the rules laid by Vastu. If you are following the above direction and your house is facing towards East, then your master bedroom should be located in the South-west corner of the home. Also it is highly recommended to keep the bedroom square or rectangle in shape.

5. Bathroom location

Location of bathroom is important from Vastu perception both for the general health and well being for the family and aesthetics too. The preferred location for bathroom should be in the North-west corner of the house or room. If North-west corner is not possible, then it should be in the South-east. Also when constructing a bathroom, make sure that it doesn’t have kitchen and pooja room as its neighbour.
