The name of this house located on hillside of Gapyeong Samhoe-ri is . It was named from the client of who is a pianist responding to the west landscape scenery with piano melody. As the name of this house is , one thing we can’t forget about this house is the scenery through large window on west.
Bukhangang which spread out under mountain and the lines of overlapped layers of mountain is a peaceful music. The request from the previous owner of the house when they built it was that not to lose the landscape scenery on West. The owner asked to put a large window on west even if the temperature of the house increases. As a result, the architect put a large window on west and designed deck and long eaves on top of the window. West sky contains various and deep story than any other skies. When you stare at the setting sun, you enter into a remote antiquity. Sitting on west wood deck with long eaves, you will have time to talk with cloud that hangs at the edge of eaves. The single story house with approximately 100㎡ attic that is not too big or not too small is a house for two children and middle aged couple drop in from time to time. Small vegetable garden at back of the house pat the nature and piano sitting on one side in living room will respond to the nature with tip of fingers. Exterior is constructed with wood and printed steel plate and this is a house that carefully consider air tightness and insulation. Apply volumetric heat insulator on top of high level airtight insulation, SIP, and added fire resistance and noise blocking function with heat reflection insulator. The construction method of constructing roof first and build SIP panel wall structured with insulation and plywood is materialized in Hisenhouse. In front elevation, the house looks like two masses connected to each other. Flat roof mass on top of wood beam and slopped mass built with color steel plate looks detached but actually connected and on rear elevation, the intention was to create harmony that seems like combining two houses into one by engaging warm texture of wood and coldness of steel plate.
